Weekend Preview

November 6, 2009

The undefeated Indianapolis Colts will host the Houston Texans this weekend in a game that could bring their first loss.  The Colts have had trouble with the Texans in recent years and Houston’s high-powered offense could match Peyton Manning and company every step of the way on Sunday.  The Cardinals and Bears will square off in a matchup of two teams that are tough to get a read on.  These teams have each looked good one week, and then suspect the next.  This game may not give us clarification on that issue, but it could be a pretty even matchup.

The Dolphins visit the Patriots and one never quite knows what to expect when these two teams tangle.  The Dolphins have been a scrappy team and have been improving with Chad Henne at the helm.  The Patriots have looked great in recent weeks, though, and I could see this game being a blowout.  Odds are it’s a close one, though.  The Giants need a win badly and it’s not going to be easy to get one against the Chargers.  Vincent Jackson has emerged as one of the best wide receivers in the league and his big play ability could really hurt the New York defense.  Dallas and Philly will battle for NFC East supremacy.
