It’s unclear when Michael Vick will be able to resume his pro football career, but that won’t stop people from speculating where he could land upon returning to the league. A recent story in the Miami Herald notes the Dolphins as a potential fit for the former number one overall pick. Former NFL coach Dennis Green recently said that he thinks Dolphins Vice President of Football Operations Bill Parcells is the kind of guy who would take a chance on Vick. “I have a hard time believing that Michael Vick is not going to wind up with Bill Parcells, simply because [Parcells] has that creativeness that says no matter what it takes, he’s going to find a way to get Michael Vick,” Green said. ”Now, whether it means convincing the commissioner or whatever it takes, Michael Vick is probably going to wind up at Miami because of the fact Bill Parcells is Bill Parcells.”
What Green says does make sense. Parcells is all about production on the field and does a good job of holding his players accountable for their behavior off it. He also knows talent when he sees it. Vick could potentially revitalize his career playing in the Dolphins’ wildcat offense, one that would emphasize his running ability.
