Aside from the brief Terrell Owens era, Philadelphia Eagles Donovan McNabb and Brian Westbrook have not had a ton of help during their respective tenures with the organization.  Last offseason the team landed wide receiver DeSean Jackson, who had a good rookie season and added a new dimension to the team’s offense, but it’s been this offseason that the team has really bulked up on the offensive side of the ball.  First the Eagles addressed their need for a left tackle by acquiring Jason Peters from Buffalo.  Peters has made the Pro Bowl the past two seasons and has potential to be an elite franchise-caliber left tackle.  He’ll make the offensive line much better serving as its anchor.

The Eagles then lucked out when they landed wide receiver Jeremy Maclin in the draft.  Maclin has the potential to develop into a number one receiver and would serve as a good complement to Jackson.  These two receivers could actual form a legitimate starting duo for McNabb, something that he’s never really had.  The Eagles also acquired running back LeSean McCoy, who will be able to take some of the pressure off of Westbrook, whose small stature makes him more suitable for a reduced number of carries.  With all these new pieces, this offense could really take off in the next year or two, this, on a team that played in the NFC Championship Game last season.
